Lower Plenty Cricket Club Inc at the Committee Meeting Conducted on 14th September 2022 endorses the Annual Child Safety and Member Protection Declaration
This includes the legislated Victorian 11 Child Safe Standards
1) Establish a culturally safe environment in which the diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal Children and Young People are respected and valued
2) Embed Child Safety and Wellbeing in organisational leadership, governance and culture
3) Empower Children and Young People so that they know their rights, participate in decisions effecting the and are taken seriously
4) Inform and engage families in respect to Child Safety and wellbeing
5) Ensure that Equity and Diversity is upheld through our policies and practices
6) Engage volunteers and officials to ensure that they are suitable to work with Children and Young People
7) Handle complaints and concerns promptly, thoroughly and with a child focused approach
8) Educate volunteers, staff and officials in consultation with Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia to provide them with the knowledge and skills to keep
Children and Young People safe
9) Promote the safety & wellbeing of Children and Young People through physical and online environments
10) Review and improve our child safe policies, procedures and practices regularly
11) Role Model behaviour and actions documented in policies, procedures and practices guiding how our organisation is safe for Children and Young People

Junior Blasters is for kids learning the basic skills of cricket with participants building their skills through fun, game based activities. The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills. When they have mastered the basics they will be ready to graduate to Master Blasters where they can play modified games of cricket.

We field traditional cricket sides in Under 10's on Wednesday nights and Under 12's, Under 14's, Under 16's & Under 18's on Friday nights. Opportunities & pathways for advancement are provided and mentored through our various cricket development academies, leadership and personal development programs. Our U16's & U18's are integrated into selected senior coaching sessions preparing them for the step up into senior cricket along with the opportunity to play with the senior sides in the lower grades. Father & Son's also get to play together when opportunity arises.
We field traditional cricket sides in Under 10's on Wednesday nights and Under 12's, Under 14's, Under 16's & Under 18's on Friday nights. Our facilities are the envy of many a local cricket club with the recently built, all weather outdoor training facility, complete with full run-ups and artificial turf, taking the total number of cricket nets available for training to 8. The latest coaching aids including video analysis along with bowling machine complete the perfect environment for players of all levels to further their cricketing skills.
